It’s almost here – 14th Annual Salt Spring Island Pride! From September 6th to 9th, join us for B.C.’s most unique, totally people-powered, non-commercial Pride Festivities! Experience and contribute to our celebration of Diversity and Inclusion, hosted by our local LGBTQ+ community, supported by our allies and visitors. Drag & Alter Ego Karaoke Night:
8:00 pm – 12:00 pm Salt Spring Legion ($10 cover)
Dress up in drag or your alter ego – whatever you dress as, bring your most fabulous self! Hosted in drag by Scott Merrick. Prizes for best drag, best alter ego and most confident performance. Cash bar.

‘Coming In’: A Queer Community Gathering for Feasting and Weaving Connection.
5:300 pm at Fulford Hall
Come into an embracing queer space with nourishing food, and opportunities for rich conversation and engagement. This evening is structured with room for play and movement, quiet reflection and creative sharing. Music by DJ AppleCat with a mellow vibe in the early evening, danceable tunes by around 9 pm.
5:30pm open. 6:00 pm BBQ Salmon dinner. $25 includes dinner, $10 at the door after 8:30. Cash bar

Salt Spring Island Pride Parade + Party in the Park!
12:30pm – Gather & Welcome in front Salt Spring Island Public Library on McPhillips Ave.
1:00pm – Parade through Ganges Village, ending in Centennial Park – non-motorized Pride parade!
1:30-3:00pm – Party in the Park – Centennial Park – All ages dancing featuring DJs
Pride Dance: Live music featuring Ange Hehr and Band, Draco & Ginger, Sir Ryan Real + more drag performers! Silent auction fundraiser.
7:00 pm – 1:00 am at Fulford Hall (Tickets purchased prior to August 30th $25 and after that and at the door $35)

A Message of Love – Unitarian Pride Service
10:30am. No cost. Senior’s Centre 379 Lower Ganges Rd.
Acclaimed Victoria musician Jill Cooper and Amanda will play the most iconic and stirring songs associated with Pride and the history of the LGBTQ+ movement. “The Music of Pride!” Unitarian Pride Service promises to deliver sing-a-longs to these powerful anthems while hearing about how the songs became so important to our community.
